Burrtec Waste & Recycling Services accepts old TV's and Computer Monitors for recycling every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at their offices located at the intersection of Buena Vista and Highway 247. This free service is offered to businesses and residents of Yucca Valley.
2. Why does Yucca Valley have mandatory trash
pick-up?
The Town Council enacted
Ordinance 73 requiring trash pick-up in order to reduce illegal dumping,
litter and improper disposal of waste.

4. Do I have to use Burrtec Waste & Recycling Services to collect
my trash?
Yes. Burrtec Waste & Recycling Services is currently the Towns franchise hauler and residents and
businesses in the Town are required to use their services to dispose of
wastes. Recycling service is provided with your residential
service.
5. How do I report illegal dumping?
If you catch someone illegally dumping, call WeTip at (800) 78-CRIME to
anonymously report the incident.
6. Where can I take my cans and bottles for recycling
redemption?
Earth Wize Recycling Center is located in the East Stater Bros Shopping
Center. Wolfs Recycling is located on Hopi Trail.
7. How can I get rid of large appliances or other
bulky-items?
Contact Burrtec Waste & Recycling Services at (760) 365-2015 to schedule a pick-up of large items.
8. What is Household Hazardous Waste?
Household hazardous waste
is any toxic, flammable or potentially explosive substance that is commonly used
around the house. It is not legal for such materials to be picked up at the curb
by Waste Management. These types of materials have to be specially handled and
disposed of properly in order to protect the waste hauler, the environment and
you. Household hazardous waste includes used oil, common solvents and paints,
batteries, pesticides and most household and yard chemicals.
Television sets and
computer monitors are also considered hazardous waste due to the lead that
is contained in them. While you cant dispose of them curbside or at
the dump, you may take them to the Hazardous Waste Facility to be properly
disposed of and/or recycled.
9. Where is the nearest Household Hazardous Waste
Facility?
You can dispose of your hazardous waste items free at 62499 Twentynine Palms
Highway in Joshua Tree. The facility is open the third Saturday of every
month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
