The Town of Yucca Valley announces the final totals from the highly successful Fall Community Cleanup and Recycling Day. Thanks to the high level of participation from local citizens, over 58 tons of trash was collected and over 13.5 tons of recyclable materials were diverted from the landfills and sent to recycling centers.
The Town of Yucca Valley thanks all who participated, including Burrtec Waste and Recycling, the County of San Bernardino, Citizen’s Patrol and all residents who took the time to recycle those unwanted items.
The next Community Cleanup and Recycling Day is planned for Saturday, April 9, 2011, in conjunction with what is commonly called San Bernardino County’s “Free Dump Day.” Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and plan ahead to make the Spring event the best of its kind, and to keep our community clean!
