Sandbags Available at Public Works

Town of Yucca Valley Public Works Department reports that sand bags are available for the public. The sandbags are unfilled, however sand is available on site. It is suggested to bring a shovel as citizens will need to fill their own bags. The public works yard is located in the Monterey Business Center, at 58928 Business Center Drive and is open today until 5:30 pm. (more…)

Community Development Block Grant Applications Available

The County of San Bernardino has notified the Town of Yucca Valley that January 21st is the deadline for submittal of proposals to be considered under the 2011-2012 cycle of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Town Offices Close During Holidays

The Town of Yucca Valley has announced that all business offices will be closed between the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. Except for emergency services and specifically scheduled recreation programs, the Town offices will be closed from Thursday, December 23rd through the end of the year, re-opening for business on Monday, January 3rd. The senior lunch program at the Yucca Valley Senior Center will not be affected by the office closures.

The Yucca Valley Animal Shelter will be available by appointment only for pet owners to retrieve impounded animals. Please contact the shelter at (760) 365-3111 to arrange a meeting time to pick up your pet or to report a lost or found pet. Shelter staff will retrieve messages each morning throughout the holiday period. The shelter will resume its regular public hours on Tuesday, January 4th at 12 noon.

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum will re-open to visitors on Sunday, January 2nd.

The Yucca Valley Community Center will be open on Christmas Day for Tender Loveing Christmas, a volunteer-led program that provides meals, clothing and toys for families in need.
