The Community Development Department is responsible for implementing policies with regard to land use and the overall development of the Town. The Department assists the community in determining and planning the most effective means for improving the physical environment of the Town, and provides land use and development information as well as provides management of development regulations and maintenance of public improvements. The divisions within the Community Development Department are the Building and Safety, Planning Services, Animal Control and Code Compliance. The department also provides staff liaison to the Town’s Planning Commission and Redevelopment Agency.
