Our County Fire Team is involved in a number of community oriented activities and outreach.
This includes public education in our local schools and at community events, public safety
announcements and seasonal fire safety messages that are distributed by our local media
partners, and annual events such as “Fire Prevention Week” and our partnership
with the public and civic organizations distributing toys during the holidays.
Our local team is backed by several other County Fire supporting divisions. The Office of
the Fire Marshal provides planning and engineering services, hazardous materials response,
and fire and arson investigation. The Training Division provides a variety of training courses
and includes an EMS section which is staffed with two registered nurses and a paramedic as
certified trainers. The Office of Emergency Services provides disaster assistance to all 24
cities and towns in our county as well as support to the unincorporated areas of county. Our
OES staff has ensured the County is officially "Storm Ready" and prepared for the
variety of disasters we may encounter. The Support Services Division includes vehicle
maintenance, warehouse services, facility maintenance, and emergency incident support for
our all-risk mission.
We are especially proud of our volunteers in the
Community Emergency Response Teams and
Emergency Communication Service (amateur or ham radio).
These volunteers give of their time to help protect their communities and improve disaster
preparedness, response and communications.
We are also proud of our relationships with our cooperating fire departments, law enforcement
agencies, and community organizations and will continue to foster them to ensure our multi-agency
readiness in the event of a local disaster.
Your Fire Department is dedicated to the health and well-being of the citizens we serve in Yucca
Valley. Please call us with any questions or concerns, and thank you for allowing us to serve you
with a department that is dedicated to providing “Premier Fire Services”.
