The Planning Division engages in current and advance planning to ensure
that new development is harmonious and complimentary with existing development
in the Town, and that the Town maintains its ability to meet the demand for
service. The Planning Division monitors changing conditions with respect to
community needs and new State and Federal laws that affect the implementation
of the General Plan, and makes policy recommendations for the use of resources
in attaining the Town’s community development goals.
The services provided by the Planning Division range from maintaining the
Town’s General Plan to issuing sign permits. The planning staff is
responsible for reviewing plans for development projects including new
construction, landscaping and remodeling. The division serves as the liaison
to the Town’s Planning Commission.
