Public art is an important element in defining the quality of life in a growing community. The Yucca Valley Town Council adopted its first public art policy in the fall of 2002. The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Commission oversees the Arts in Public Places Program and is administered through the Town of Yucca Valley Community Services Department. The Art in Public Places Program includes a cataloged inventory of public art, identification of suitable locations for future placements and promotes dialogue with potential donors and contributors.
