An exemplary public safety program is one of the key elements of the exceptional quality of life in Yucca Valley. The provision of high quality police and fire protection for local residents and visitors remains a priority of the Town Council. The Town’s public safety resources are maximized through cooperation with San Bernardino County’s professional agencies.

Police services are provided by contract with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office. The Morongo Basin substation serves as the area’s headquarters on White Feather Road in Joshua Tree, adjacent to the Hi Desert Medical Center. A satellite law enforcement facility is located on the Yucca Valley Community Center property.

Fire protection service to the community and surrounding areas is provided by the San Bernardino County Fire Department. Station #41 is located on State Route 62 near Joshua Lane; Station #42 is located on Aberdeen Road in the Yucca Mesa area, and the Administration office is located at 6942 Airway Ave. Ste A, Yucca Valley.
