The Yucca Valley Redevelopment Agency was established in 1993 and the Town Council serves as the Redevelopment Agency board of directors. The redevelopment process provides for a change in the distribution of property tax revenues collected on property within the Redevelopment Project Area. Two areas, the Downtown sub-area and the East End Residential sub-area, have been designated in Yucca Valley.
