The Town of Yucca Valley youth sports programs are designed to provide children with the opportunity to experience sports in a structured, wholesome environment. Participation in athletics plays a valuable role in the development of our children. Aspects of teamwork, dedication, discipline, physical fitness, self-esteem and fair play all contribute to the overall growth and maturation of young people. It is our goal to conduct programs such as flag football and basketball to accomplish these objectives.

 
The Town of Yucca Valley coed youth flag football program is designed to teach the fundamental skills of football in a fun environment. Teams are based on age. The typical league schedule is two practices per week in the evenings, and one game on Saturday. All practices and league games are held at Machris Park in Yucca Valley. League registration begins in July with the deadline being the end of August. League games begin in mid-September. If you have further questions please contact the Recreation Office .

NFL Punt Pass and Kick
This free, national skills competition for boys and girls, helps youngters to compete safely against their peers. Four age divisions are available to compete in punting, passing and place kicking in a fun and engaging forum. Pre-registration is encouraged.
