The operations of the Town of Yucca Valley are supplemented to a significant degree by members of the Community who volunteer their time. In addition to the important contributions of the members of appointed Commissions and Committees, the community benefits from the voluntary efforts of the Clean Team, Citizen Patrol, and many other volunteer groups. Residents are encouraged to investigate some of the volunteer opportunities in Yucca Valley.

 
Yucca Valley Clean Team - an environmentally conscious group of citizens who volunteer time to remove litter from specified areas of Town. To get involved, contact Christine Kim at Town Hall, (760) 369-7207.

Hi-Desert Nature Museum - whether helping with animal care, educational programs or greeting visitors, the museum offers a variety of opportunities to get involved.

Youth Sports Programs - the Town’s Recreation Division regularly relies on interested volunteers to serve as coaches, assistant coaches, officials, team moms and field preparation specialists. To find out more, contact Frank Sheckler at (760) 369-7211.

Yucca Valley CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)  - Under the direction of local emergency responders, CERT teams help provide cirtical support by giving immediate assistance to victims, providing damage assessment information and can also participate in community events, preparedness outreach and more. Yucca Valley Senior Center - the Nutrition for Seniors program prepares and serves daily meals for seniors and shut-ins. Find out more about volunteer opportunities by calling (760) 228-5453.
