The Town Clerks office is responsible to preserve and store historical
documents such as resolutions, ordinances and contracts. The assembly and
preparation of agendas and minutes, besides executing notary services, are
routine duties of the department. In addition, the clerks office performs
special assignments as designated by the Mayor and Town Council, as well as
providing liaison services to Yucca Valley residents, community groups and
other agencies. The office is also a Federal Passport Acceptance Agency and
provides that service by appointment.

The Town Clerk is an election official who is the Secretary of States
designated filing officer for elected officials. The office also receives
and validates mandatory filings for candidates, designated employees and
elected officials while coordinating consolidated and special elections
with the County of San Bernardino.
