Town Clerk

The Town Clerk’s office is responsible to preserve and store historical documents such as resolutions, ordinances and contracts. The assembly and preparation of agendas and minutes, besides executing notary services, are routine duties of the department. In addition, the clerk’s office performs special assignments as designated by the Mayor and Town Council, as well as providing liaison services to Yucca Valley residents, community groups and other agencies. The office is also a Federal Passport Acceptance Agency and provides that service by appointment.

The Town Clerk is an election official who is the Secretary of State’s designated filing officer for elected officials. The office also receives and validates mandatory filings for candidates, designated employees and elected officials while coordinating consolidated and special elections with the County of San Bernardino.

Public Meeting Invocation Policy
On January 22, 2013 the Yucca Valley Town Council adopted Resolution 13-02 establishing an invocation policy for public meetings. All religious congregations with an established presence in Yucca Valley are eligible to be included in the congregations list.
