COVID – 19 Update – Town Office Hours and Services


With the spread of COVID-19 in the United States, the Town of Yucca Valley has been actively monitoring the event and related actions through our partnerships with the California Department of Health, and the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health.  Both agencies are working collaboratively with the Center for Disease Control. 


The Town of Yucca Valley has established operational guidelines for the reopening of Town Departments and services with the consideration of the health and safety of the public and Town personnel. Effective Tuesday, May 26, 2020 the following offices and modifications are open to the public.

  • Town Hall will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday

A maximum of four customers will be allowed in the lobby at the same time.

  • Community Development (Building and Safety, Public Works, Planning, & Code Compliance)

Will continue to provide services by appointment only (Call (760) 369-6575) Walk-up customers will be accommodated between appointment times if available. No more than two customers will be allowed in the lobby at the same time.

  • Animal Shelter will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday with a maximum of four customers allowed in the lobby at the same time.
  • Community Services/Recreation Office, the Senior Center, and the Hi-Desert Nature Museum will remain closed to the public. All leisure activities and facility rentals are suspended until further guidance is received from the State and County public health officials.


The Town of Yucca Valley asks that anyone entering a Town office wears a facial covering and maintains 6’ social distance for the consideration of everyone’s safety and well-being.
