The Town of Yucca Valley is honoring the brave men and women actively serving in the military, veterans and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this Country through a Military Banner Recognition Program. The program is designed to support, recognize and express appreciation for military personnel in Yucca Valley. To qualify for the program, honorees must meet two general guidelines:

  • Be an active-duty member of the United States Armed Forces, an honorably discharged veteran who has served in the past or a service person who has given their life in the most recent military conflict.
  • Be a resident of the Town of Yucca Valley or an immediate family member of a Yucca Valley resident (spouse, parents, child, sibling, grandchild).

Each banner will display the honorees’ name, image and branch of service and will be proudly displayed throughout the Town for one year. This program is administered on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to active-duty service members.

The cost to sponsor a banner is $50, a rate subsidized by local Measure Y funds to ensure the program remains accessible to the community. This sponsorship covers the design, production, installation, and public display of the banner for one year.

At the conclusion of the display period, the banner will be returned to the sponsor as a lasting keepsake and token of the community’s appreciation for the honoree’s service.

Applications

To sponsor a banner or submit an application for a banner, please complete the application by Tuesday, November 4.

NOTE: The spelling of the name will be taken directly from the application. The lettering of the name and branch of service will be sized to fit the personalized area on the banner.
