The Yucca Valley Town Council established an invocation policy for public meetings with the adoption of Resolution No. 13-02. In accordance with this policy, members of the clergy in the Town of Yucca Valley are invited to voluntarily offer a prayer at the beginning of Town Council meetings, providing an opportunity for reflection in a spirit of respect and inclusivity.
Participation in the invocation is entirely voluntary. No member of the Town Council, Town staff, or member of the public is required to participate.
All religious congregations with an established presence in the Town of Yucca Valley are eligible to be included on the Congregations List. The Town Clerk maintains this list and makes reasonable efforts to ensure broad and inclusive representation. Congregations and religious leaders may request to be added to the list or scheduled for an upcoming meeting by contacting the Town Clerk.
