Public art is a vital element in defining the quality of life in a growing community.
The Yucca Valley Town Council adopted its first public art policy in the fall of 2002. Today, we are embracing a thriving arts community that is gaining attention nationally and around the world.
The Art in Public Places Program includes a cataloged inventory of public art and suitable locations for future placements. The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Commission, which also works to encourage dialogue between the Town, potential donors and contributors, oversees the program.
The Commission wishes to encourage artists, developers, and the business community to discuss their proposals for donating artworks. By encouraging artists to bring their creative vision to our public spaces, we can cultivate, unify, and inspire the entire community.
